Get to know me…

I know it seems cliché, but I wanted to be a therapist for as long as I can remember. I found myself sort of naturally falling into that role throughout my life and I think that comes from my natural curiosity about peoples’ paths and how each individual got to where they are. I also experienced my own trauma and my experience with a clinical psychologist was abysmal to say the least. I felt a pull to be that person for others, to create that safe space, and to help in a way I didn’t receive.

With 10+ years working with individuals and families, I have had a wide array of experiences helping individuals through life’s most difficult struggles.

I believe that the therapeutic alliance is the most crucial key to success in therapy. I have been able to build meaningful connections that provide a foundation to thrive amongst adversity.

My happy place is being with my family and by the ocean waves. I am a wife, a mom, and a dog lover (with 2 pups of my own)!

My Areas of expertise include (But not limited to):

Client population

I work with clients in their early adolescence (10+)up to older adults.

When working with adolescents, it is imperative to engage the family, if possible, as support for the young person.

When working with adults, you choose who is a part of your support system and the potential role they play in your treatment.

therapy for other Helping Professionals

I love working with other therapists or professionals in the helping professions as this poses a unique set of stressors including vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue, and sometimes burn out. Taking care of yourself as a therapist or helping professional is key to being effective while serving others in the field.
