What can i expect?
And other FAQS
What will my first session entail?
Therapy is an individualized experience and it’s important that you feel connected to the therapist you are working with in order to achieve optimal results. The therapeutic alliance is the foundation for productive therapy. Our first session will be spent with me getting to know you, but also you getting to know me as a therapist and becoming familiar with my approach. I create a safe environment for you to feel comfortable processing and communication thoughts and emotions.
Can I still benefit from therapy even if I am not in crisis or have a pressing, presenting concern?
Absolutely! Therapy is a great opportunity to learn more about yourself and understand certain patterns, relationships, or behaviors. It can also help you to develop new and effect ways of coping and caring for yourself. Being proactive instead of reactive can help prepare you for life’s challenges.
How many sessions can I expect?
Frequency and duration of therapy is a collaborative decision based on your needs and my clinical assessment.
